Adala

Adala, meaning First Daughter of the Land, draws from brass anklets, of the same name, once worn by Igbo women. The weight of these anklets was negotiated through movement and poise. The vase embodies this same dynamic tension in its form, finding rest at the threshold and capturing a moment of balance.
