Design Intersect is an exhibition curated by SOTO Gallery. This year's theme, Reimagining Resources, speaks to the urgent need for adaptive design, material innovation and craft revival in Nigeria. Presenting the untapped potential of locally abundant resources (metal, raffia, clay and leather). In a time marked by infrastructural limitations, dwindling artisanal traditions and a global call for sustainable solutions, this exhibition explores the beauty, function and future potential of local materials. By bringing together designers and material innovators, the exhibition challenges the perception of scarcity and repositions overlooked materials as vital resources for shaping Nigeria's design landscape.
